About Chess Beacon

Chess Beacon is a free, independent chess tournament finder that aggregates upcoming events from state federations, local chess clubs, and national registration platforms across the United States — all in one searchable, filterable place, updated daily.

Why we built it

Finding chess tournaments used to mean checking a dozen different websites — your state federation, a few local clubs, USCF, and whatever registration platform the organizer happened to use. Chess Beacon fixes that. We pull from all of those sources automatically and present everything in one clean list.

How it works

Our system checks dozens of official sources every day — state chess associations, club calendars, and platforms like US Chess, King Registration, and ChessRegister — and merges them into a single database. Events are deduplicated across sources so you never see the same tournament listed twice.

Free, always

Chess Beacon is completely free to use. We don't require an account, charge fees, or sell your data. The site is supported by advertising.

Tournament organizers

Want your events listed on Chess Beacon? You can submit your site or tournament and we'll review it for inclusion. If your club or federation already has an online calendar, there's a good chance we can add it as an automated source.
