Is This Tournament a Good Fit?
This event welcomes school-age players of all skill levels across three sections—K-5, K-8, and K-12—making it easy to find the right competitive level for your child. The tournament uses G/30 rapid time controls, so you can expect a brisk, engaging pace without an all-day commitment. With a modest entry fee of $35–$50 and US Chess membership required, it's an accessible way for young players to gain rated experience in a school-based setting.
