Nmco 2026 New Mexico State Chess Championship (Nm Residents)

Is This Tournament a Good Fit?

This two-day state championship offers something for every skill level, with dedicated sections ranging from U600 through the open Championship division, so whether you're just starting out or competing at a higher level, there's a home for you. The affordable entry fee of $20–$60 makes it accessible, and the 5-round Swiss format means you'll get meaningful games without a grueling schedule. The time controls are well-suited to the sections—faster play for beginners and a classical pace for stronger players—making it a fair competition across the board.
