Is This Tournament a Good Fit?
This free tournament is ideal for young chess players in the Chicago area, with sections spanning from kindergarten through advanced levels, so there's a section matched to nearly every skill level. The one-day, five-round Swiss format with faster time controls (G/20 or G/30) keeps the pace moving and makes it accessible for players who prefer quicker games. Whether you're introducing your child to tournament chess or looking for a friendly competitive environment, the All-Girls format creates a welcoming community for female players of all ages.
