This six-round Swiss event welcomes players rated under 1800, with a separate section for those under 1500, making it ideal if you're an intermediate player looking for competitive matches against peers. The classical time control (G/90+30) allows for thoughtful play without requiring a full weekend commitment. At just $40–$65 to enter, it's an accessible way to test yourself at the Marshall Chess Club in Manhattan over the course of several weeks.
