Is This Tournament a Good Fit?
This four-round Swiss tournament welcomes players across multiple rating categories—from beginners in the U1000 section through advanced players in the Championship division—with a moderate G/45+5 time control that balances competitive chess with a reasonable pace. The $40–$50 entry fee is accessible to most players, and National Masters and higher-rated competitors compete free. Held on a single day at Columbia Chess Club, it's an ideal fit if you want serious tournament experience without a major time commitment.
